On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the OPU is the first country in the European Network on Statelessness to publish a toolkit for identifying and addressing statelessness in the Czech Republic.
This publication will help to better identify stateless persons in the Czech Republic. It can be used by anyone who might come into contact with stateless persons (i.e. stateless). The publication will help them to identify and refer them to relevant procedures leading to the protection of stateless persons. The publication also highlights the problems faced by stateless persons in the Czech Republic.
In the future, similar publications should be produced in neighbouring countries, which will help to achieve the objective of the EAW, which is to end statelessness and ensure that every stateless person living in Europe has access to the rights to which they are entitled under international law.
