Andrej, one of our most active volunteers ever, received an award from the Ministry of the Interior for his contribution during the refugee crisis. Andrej has been very committed and intensively involved with the arrivals from Ukraine since the beginning of the crisis. He helped with administration, escorting them to the authorities and to the doctor, and assisted the social and legal team with interpreting. Now he is mainly involved in activities with children. As of March 2022, OPU has donated 912 volunteer hours (as of the end of 2023) and continues to volunteer.
