CURRENT INFORMATION – VOLUNTARY RETURNS
How long will it take to apply for a voluntary return to the departure of the Czech Republic?
Voluntary return is to be settled in the shortest possible time. Duration depends on a number of factors, especially when you are at the stage of the asylum procedure at the time you file your application for a stay, and whether you have a valid travel document or other identity document or other supporting document. If you are at the first stage of the procedure for granting international protection and have a valid travel document, a voluntary return is usually implemented in a very short time. If your appeal against a ministerial decision is judged by a regional court, the request for a cessation of proceedings may be extended for a longer period of time and hence the period of travel will be extended as it is necessary to wait for the judgment to become final. In the case of a cassation complaint to the Supreme Administrative Court, it is not necessary to await the acquisition of legal force, voluntary return is realized in a short time. However, if you do not own valid travel documents, count in any case with a certain delay, which depends on the embassy office issuing your travel document.
What should I do if my travel document is not or is invalid?
You can arrange a document for yourself at your embassy in Prague or we can help you with the travel document. Provision of a substitute travel document, prolongation of fallen documents, record of children in parents’ papers, or any other contact with embassies are provided by non-governmental organizations for SUZ.
Can I influence how long does my request for voluntary return take?
You can influence the handling of your application by your activity. If you do not own a travel document, you can deal with the embassy in person and on the phone. Your travel will always speed up the TIMELINE submission of ALL your identity documents – supporting documents. It is also important to be in contact with the relevant employee of the SUZ, not to leave arbitrarily AZ (if you are here) and not to silence information.
Can I return to the Czech Republic after returning home?
You may return to the Czech Republic, but if you apply for international protection again, you will pay all costs incurred by the Czech State for your voluntary return. If you again request a voluntary return, you will not be paid.
Does the program involve members of my family?
If your relatives meet the conditions of Act No. 325/1999 Coll. on asylum, may apply for voluntary return. For minors, parents or guardians are requesting. If a part of the family wants to stay in the Czech Republic, one or more family members may apply for a voluntary return.
I fly and my luggage is overweight, who will pay for it?
Overweight is paid by the participant himself according to the price list of the air carrier. Overweight or packing can, in exceptional cases, pay you for SUZ, but only in exceptional cases after you have approved SUZ, and if you have asked us well in advance and discussed everything with us.
Do I travel by air or land?
The way home is usually done by air, due to the fact that the Czech Republic surrounds the countries of the Schengen area.
Is it possible to return to other than to the country of origin?
Yes. You can travel to another country if you have a serious reason to do so. However, the condition is that it is a country adjacent to your home, the cost of travel is not significantly higher than it would be in the country of origin, and there are no other major obstacles (such as visa to the destination country) that would prevent entry to your chosen country.
How early do I have information about my departure from the Czech Republic?
At least 2 days before departure, you will be informed of all your return information.
Do they participate in the voluntary returns of the Czech Police?
Voluntary returns pursuant to Act No. 325/1999 Coll., On Asylum, do not involve the police.
What are the other forms of traveling from the Czech Republic?

Program to support and protect victims of trafficking in human beings for third-country nationals trafficked for forced prostitution or forced labor.
