The Mission of the Services of the OAR (“OPU” in Czech abbreviation)
The Organization for Assistance to Refugees, citizens´ association (OAR) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded on 25 November 1991. The mission of the organization is the support and assistance to refugees and foreigners of all ages on their way to independence, in orienting themselves in their rights and duties and in their integration into society. The organization also aims to create positive relationships between foreigners and majority society.
SOCIAL COUNSELLING:
- education (diploma recognition, assistance with school search, education courses search etc.)
social security - employment (possibilities of legal employment, making of CV, employment search in case of long-term cooperation etc.)
- health care (health care options, doctor search etc.)
- family situation change (birth of child, marriage etc.)
- housing (information on estate market, accommodation search in case of long-term cooprationg etc.)
- information on life in the Czech Republic
- upon OPU workers’ agreement – possibility of accompanying foreigners to institutions (schools, job centres, trade centre, insurance companies etc.)
