The Regional Court in Ostrava cancelled a decision about detention of an asylum seeker represented by OPU. The foreigner was secured without a valid visa on the territory of the Czech Republic and transferred to detention centre in Vyšní Lhoty, where he applied for international protection. On the basis of the OPU’s act, the Court identified him as a vulnerable within the meaning of the Asylum Code, even though his disability (condition after acute amputation of the lower limb) came at a time of irregular residence in the Czech Republic.
