Mobildo OPU II.
– offers the possibility to participate in two projects. The first project includes one-day volunteer group visits in asylum facilities Bělá Jezová and Permon. The group of volunteers collaborates with a coordinator on providing free-time activities (sport, creative activities, game, etc.) in these facilities. These visits take place regularly, once a month. The second project is called Project mentoring. In this case the volunteer regularly meets with the foreigner in order to help him/her resettle. They can meet over coffee, go see a theater play, have Czech language lessons, go on a trip or deal with the authorities together – it is up to their mutual agreement. They should meet regularly on a long-term basis, approximately once a week.
Generation lost, Generation found (GLGF) – a new project supported by the O2 communications company. Young volunteers aged under 26 prepare activities and regularly meet with foreigners of their age. The objective of this project is to help our young clients with orientation on the labour market through interactive activities. Using entertaining activities, Czech volunteers introduce the Czech labour market and educational system to young foreigners with dysfunctional families or no family background.
Open – is a project funded by the Grundvig European Union Lifelong Learning Programme. Together with similar organizations from Germany, Norway, Turkey and Malta, OPU is taking part in a two-year project called OPEN which supports volunteer mobility. Thanks to this project some of our volunteers will be sent abroad to a hosing organization, to exchange experience and find foreign friends with similar attitudes.
