VOLUNTEERS GOING TO TURKEY WITHIN THE OPEN PROJECT – Thanks to the Open project, some of our volunteers are currently getting ready to go to Turkey. We hope that exchanging experience, meeting new people and experiencing new ways of volunteering will enrich not only our volunteers but also OPU itself. The project is funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union.
FIRST WEEKEND MEETING OF THE GLGF PROJECT – Volunteers and foreigners taking part in the Generation lost – Generation found project spent their first weekend together in Dobřichovice near Prague in January. Twenty people took part in the event, the aim was to get to know each other and officially start the GLGF project which will run during the whole year of 2011!! If you are a foreigner or a person interested in volunteering, if you feel like joining us, do not hesitate to contact us. We are grateful to the O2 Foundation for its support.
CHRISTMAS IN PERMON – Our volunteers prepared and entertaining program for a Christmas party in the The Facility for children-foreigners Permon. Children played games, sang carols and first of all, unwrapped their gifts!! The party was a great success for all the participants. Thank you for the gifts to the Riverside School staff, students and their parents.
