The office in Pilsen takes part in the pilot program of the city of Pilsen and the Ministry of the Interior: Integration of foreigners in the local authority area – solving problems of people migrating for work to Pilsen

1) taking part in the project activities:

  • Workshop "The Journey of a Foreigner": interactive game for pupils 14-15 years old simulating the situation of a foreigner in the Czech Republic (April 2010)
  • “The world begins in Pilsen” multicultural festival, OPU prepared jointly with Uzbek students a lecture called The Scent of Uzbekistan

2)providing free legal counseling, specifically labour and residence counseling, for foreigners from third countries who live and work in Pilsen (May – December 2010)
We succeeded in getting a grant from  the Comission for Integration of Foreigners of the Pilsen City Council to run a project called Free Labour Counseling for Foreigners (July-December 2010)
From November 2010 our registered social services also include The Field Program for Foreigners in compliance with § 69 Act No.108 108/2006 Coll. on the Social Services. At the same time we also responded to a call for bids called: “Social Services Support in the Pilsen Region – Field Programs in the Pilsen Region” which was launched by the Department of Social Services of the Pilsen Region. We won the public procurement and for the next three years the field program will be providing services for foreigners in the local authority area.
In November we welcomed new members to our team. Mgr. Tereza Vágnerová and Mgr. Iva Šperlová were joined by Mgr. Madla Čechová, Veronika Prokešová, DiS. and Viktor Rumpík.

A new project called Labour Counseling for Foreigners in Selected Regions: Pilsen Region, Central Bohemian Region, Partly South Bohemian Region (March 2011 – February 2010) will be launched next year.
