Only during this year, more than 600 refugees drowned in waters of the Mediterranean Sea on their voyage towards security and better future.

With the participation of experts and a general public, the final conference for the project "Regularization as one of the tools in the fight against illegal migration" was hold on 12 April 2011 in Prague.

Over a hundred people gathered at the Czech Ministry of Agriculture to demand justice for hundreds of exploited migrant forest workers on Sunday 27 March.  The march, which was co-organized by the Initiative for Migrant Workers Rights and Initiative against Racism, moved across Prague and reached the Ministry of Interior.

Prague, 21^st of March 2011 – Czech forestry companies that have been accused of the recurrent deceit of their employees from Vietnam, Slovakia, Romania and other countries plan once again to recruit workers for the season 2011. To support the workers' claim for unpaid wages and protest against the slow police investigation of the case, two Prague-based initiatives will organise a march against the exploitation of migrant workers in Czech state forestry.

The Organization for Aid to Refugees and the Counsel on Integration realized a survey on foreigners´ social situation on the territory of the Capital city of Prague. The contractor of this survey was the Municipal Authority of the Capital City of Prague.
